Greetings, my name is Donald Topp and I’m a silkscreen artist from Madison, Wisconsin. My artwork takes a critical view of our popular cultural. In my work, I deconstruct toys, cartoons and icon figures from childhood and adult pop culture. Exposing the underlying messages that our entertainment pushes on the population. The roles boys, girls, woman and man are expected to tow in our media culture. Pop Art Silkscreen is the best way to describe my work. Mixed media with screen printing in overlapping layers on paper and board. All images are hand pulled with mixed media application in each print. Small editions 10-20, 18x24 or 16x20 working size.
