"The White Wheel of WTH was made in response to an incident in West Terre Haute, Indiana. I was going to see a group of my students play Jazz at bar in town. A few songs into my students set, a group of white men approached me and asked me why I was here, and let me know I was not welcome- this came with threats of violence. My students then had to escort me to my car to keep me safe."
